Jill Galvan of Cosmos is among 19 Minnesotans elected as a national delegate at the Libertarian Party of Minnesota State Convention April 14 in Maple Grove.
This is the first time Galvan has served as a Minnesota delegate. According to a press release, she is a leader for Minnesota’s 7th Congressional District, and intends to run for the Minnesota House of Representatives District 18A seat this fall.
“I’ve always believed that people should have the right to do as they see fit as long as they aren’t hurting anyone else, but also that the government needs to be held accountable to taxpayers and not play fast and loose with our money,” she said. ‘”Somewhere along the line, we let the Democrat and Republican parties believe that they could get away with anything, and they’ve responded by doing just that.”
Galvan is a wife, mother, grandmother, and employee of Jennie-O Turkey Store.
