2026 Candidate Nominating Petitions

These petitions help LPMN candidates and the Libertarian Party of Minnesota achieve and maintain ballot access by gathering signatures from Minnesota voters. Petitions may only be signed during the Candidate Filing Period set by state law, between May 19th and June 2nd. We encourage you to download and sign, then get your friends, relatives, and neighbors to sign, too! This isn’t a pledge to vote for our candidates, just permission for us to be on the ballot in the first place.

To ensure timely delivery, please mail your signed petitions to the address below by May 26th. Your help is essential. Thank you for supporting ballot access!

1710 Douglas Dr, Ste 225U
Golden Valley, MN 55422

If you want to join our petitioning team to help us track and prioritize our efforts so every candidate here makes the cut, please email us at info@lpmn.org. We’ll get you connected with an organizer who will be able to collect signed petition forms from you in person, allowing us to utilize the full petition period.

Statewide Candidates
The following petitions are for Libertarian candidates for statewide office:

Petition form for Rebecca Whiting for US Senate – candidate’s website: whiting4senate.us

Petition Form for Chip Tangen for MN Secretary of State – candidate’s website: chipforsos.com

On Monday, May 25th, Charley Kuchlenz, our State Auditor candidate, announced that he was suspending his campaign to consolidate our signature gathering effort around our other two statewide races. We applaud Charley for the campaign he ran, and continue to support him as he advocates for the action items his campaign championed. Let’s make the most of his decision and get both Chip and Rebecca on the ballot!

Independent Candidates
The LPMN has also endorsed the following independent candidates for MN Senate and MN House:

Petition Form for TJ Hawthorne for MN House 44B – candidate’s website: tjformn44b.com

Petition signatures for non-statewide races are only valid if the signer resides in the district/jurisdiction for that office (ex., for TJ, they must be a resident of 44B).
