Please Contribute to the LPMN (It will cost you nothing!)

Minnesota’s Political Contribution Refund (PCR) program provides a subsidy to political parties and candidates. Here’s how it works. Contribute to a candidate/political party ($75 for individuals, $150 for married couples), fill out a simple form, get the same amount back from the Minnesota Dept. of Revenue.

It’s a terrible program. Is it any wonder the Rs and Ds would create such an arrangement to nakedly promote their “industry”?

For years, I proudly scoffed at the idea of participating in this scheme. And perhaps you have felt the same way.

But who benefits when we opt out? It’s our competition – the Rs and the Ds. They aggressively market this program and generate significant revenues for their operations. At the same time, who is hurt when we opt out? It’s us!

You may have to hold your nose, but please join me in making an EXTRA contribution to the LPMN by December 31. Click here for more details, and be sure to ask Joey for a PCR receipt.

Fun fact: The LPMN qualifies for the PCR program because we achieved Minor Party Status. We should capitalize on this benefit.
